When she graduated in 1992 Amanda Bossard began her research in marine biology at Anchorage from Alaska Pacific University. Bossard's career began in 1999 with a job aboard the F/V Sunset. It is a 65-foot halibut boat was turned into a salmon tender by Murat Ariatn, who has been commercial fishing for the past twenty years. In a small 42 salmon troller, using hooks and line to capture their salmon, they join Aritan during two consecutive months of selling to local processors. They also continue to grow their direct market seafood items sold via Otolith Sustainable Seafood by way by purchasing custom processing and packaging services provided by small processors in order to produce unique wild seafood products that reflect their dedication to quality and the environment.
